Fashion- Winner: 2010
The rainbow theme of 2010 was so much cooler than the somber choices we all made this year. Perhaps it was the low expectations.
Take-off- Winner: 2011
We only left 10 minutes late! No waiting for Shores still on the shore (I did not think of this pun). Also, we actually stayed in the harbor the whole time without having to go back to shore for a bathroom break.
Bathrooms- Winner: 2011
I didn't actually use them, but I did not hear any complaints, which is probably an ideal situation when it comes to the bathrooms.
Freebies- Winner: 2011
2011 is the winner in terms of quantity. Free drink ticket for everyone, not just whoever signed up at noon! Also, a champagne flute that was emblazoned with our fractious government's logo and slogan (seriously?). Major slap on the wrist for the left handed helix.
Renovation- Winner: 2011
The couches upstairs were cool. Too bad there was no reason to go up there except for the bar.
Food-Winner: 2011
I think the food was the same, but was served slightly earlier since we didn't need to wait at shore for so long. Also, the Dean asked me, in a very concerned manner, if the food was ok here.

Water availability- Winner: 2011
Free on the boat! However, at the club we were sent to three different bars before there was one with a functional water spout. Suspicious.

Dancing on the boat- Winner: 2010
The food service was so drawn-out that we barely had 15 minutes to dance. Lame.
Music on the boat- Loser: Both years
Although our requests were duly noted and passed on, the Dandy's superiors in our fractious government seemed to ignore them. Rihanna is nice, but this wasn't her tribute dance party. Also, what was with playing the Jamie Cullum album twice?
My date- Winner: 2010
This year I brought a slightly lamer med student. Boo boards.
Speaking of dates: Unfortunately AgentR could not join us this year, but her would-be date was suspiciously cabal-ing with the Boston Dandy on the deck while everyone else was keeping warm indoors. To quote this date, "[AgentR] isn't here! What was I supposed to do?" Hm...you might want to investigate this one further
Weather- Winner: 2010
Why is it still so cold in May????????? We spent most of our little time outdoors marveling at airplanes and taking pictures of ourselves.
Municipal disasters- Winner: 2011
As far as we could tell, all city services were still intact when we came back to shore. Not having to hoard bottled water is such a relief.
Post-cruise plans- Winner: 2011
Props to my friends for having a plan to visit a boarded up dance club! Even more props for making immediate back-up plans for a possibly even better (we may never know?) place!
